Which batteries last longer, regular or rechargeable

if you don't have a clue. don't answer!

I believe that rechargeable batteries do last longer. Especially in items such as cameras, mp3 players or other items that you use frequently or us a lot of power. Altho they do not last forever and will wear out. I have found that charged properly they have lasted me a few years.
