What kind of business would be a good investment in the future?

I am wondering what type of business would be a good investment in the future. Meaning a business that could potentially be worth more than I have put into it. It doesn't matter how much money is the starting amount. I just want to know what kind of business would have the the most potential success versus the cash invested throughout the process of making that business a successful bussiness. I am looking for anything as small as a local bar and grill to as large as a car company. Frachises work.

Electronic/gaming stores will always be around. And are incredibly profitable. They are expensive to start up too, but you have to invest money to make money.

Security.

Clothing stores.

Just to name a few.

I actually heard that with all of the people going into trades, massage therapists are going to be needed. Who knows. But it is true, funeral homes will never be a dying business.

I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this, but business related to vices are supposed to be unusually profitable because some people simply refuse to compete with them. Casinos, liquor stores, and strip joints come to mind.

Casinos make an unbelievable profit!

I'm not sure how this works, but in our state it seems like the only ones who open casinoes are the tribal Indians here in Oklahoma and in other states are the extensions of the businesses in Las Vegas. Can just anyone open a casino? Just curious.

Not in most states. A few states will let people with clean criminal records do so, but the casinos in those states tend to be heavily regulated in the hope that organized crime can be kept out of the business. I states like Oregon, small businesses can sell state lottery products and take a cut of the sales.

Something to do with clean energy. I work in the oil field. The only reason oil is still booming is because the old guys in Washington all have their hands in the cookie jar. But sooner or later they'll all keel over and clean energy, which should be booming right now, will take over.

The medical field such as:

Supplying medical equipment to individuals-beds, medical needs
Medical technology such as fixing medical machine such as X-ray machines and other things that could need repairing.
Medical computer technology training such as imputing medical codes in computer.
Medical training schools that teach all medical skills needed.
ANYTHING to do with the medical field-people will always be sick and need help.
