How do I retrieve my updated contact list from my Facebook account and download it back into my IPhone 4S?

Before I could back up my contact list, Facebook "stole it".

You will go to your device and then turn off Facebook syncing for the contact list. Next, go to Gmail inbox and click on the 'Gmail' tag that is below the Google sign.
