Solve the batting average formula, a = h/n, for h.Find the # of hits h a batter needs in 40 times at bat n to have an average of 0.275.

0.275 = h / 40 (times both sides by 40)
40 x 0.275 = h
11

But I don;t think they would get to bat 40 times if only scoring 11 runs heh.
