How to fall asleep faster?

It often takes me an hour of laying in the dark with my eyes closed to fall asleep because my mind tends to drift off to other things. Is there a way to stop or overcome that?

Have a really good friend to whack you across the head with a baseball bat!!

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes when I take a shower before I go to bed it gets me sleepy cuz my skin is soft so then the sheets are soft. Therefore I'm really comfy bringing me to sleep faster. Hope it helps!

Take some Melatonin, that will make you sleep like a baby. Chew a pill in the dark while you are laying there and it will make you sleepy.

you hit the nail on the head with this one. i just read that it takes the average person at least 30 minutes to get to sleep after using electronic internet devises. the glow of the screen tampers with the production of melatonin in our brain.
i'd recommend limiting your use of electronics before bed and instead read an old fashioned paper book.

Eat a banana, drink milk and turn the lights down/off. Ignore all clocks so you don't panic about the time.
