Is this the right way for them to react?

when I become close enough friends with someone, I tell them about my suicide attempts. sometimes i tell them after attempting one as well, and they usually don't really say anything. they don't really seem to care, except one of my friends who just tells me not to do it again. is this... right? is this the way they're supposed to react? please help!!

there was a candle light vigil at my church just tonight, where a girl hung herself. she committed suicide! pls find the nearest church, and go and talk to the pastor. be totally honest and forthright. it is not that your friends are acting wrong, they do not know how to react. pls read the book of John in the Bible. you are Worthy! you deserve to live!

I'm sure your friends just don't know what to say. But if I were them I would be very worried about you and would try everything I could to make you happy.

It takes a mature adult/youth to hear talk of suicide and recognise great pain and grief has visited and gone away again.
You don't want the glums back, you know you have had highs since trying, so if a next time comes, just trust yourself to sleep and tomorrow can be anything fabulous.
Perhaps your friend thinks you don't say much about her attempts, it would be great if you could be a special friend that saves friends from depths of despair.
We know three things needed is a person who loves you dear;ly, a sense of self worth, and to belong to some useful team or work situation.
Why not volunteer in your town say for emergency service work or first aid teams (learn from them).
Find a good friend or two (can't have much more than 2 real good friends)
Learn up about assisting depressed people, specialise,
it could be your satisfying career.

No matter how bad you feel your life is if you can bring joy into another's life you have reason to live. Don't steal others joy by taking your life. Your life is not yours anyway Christ bought and paid for it so give it to Him
