Have you ever liked one of them? Think about it. Deep down, not just when you're happy or sad, or mad, or whatever. Who is there for you more. Who is more like a brother to you, and who isn't? I mean, it would be awkward dating someone you could call your brother right? Maybe you don't like either of them like that. You need to figure out how you feel before jumping to your answer. You don't want to hurt them, and you don't want to pick the wrong person. Instead of avoiding them, tell them you need time to think things through. Do you really want to put your friendship at risk for a relationship that could be ruined in a matter of minutes?

Perhaps, you should take a piece of paper and write their names opposite each other like you are making a comparison table. Then, go ahead and write what you don't like about either. Pick whoever you believe is better overall. Alternatively, you can reject their advances if you don't want to hurt either.

Choose the person who makes you a better person yourself.

I think that neither of them are a good choice. If you feel the exact same way about both of them, then neither one is unique and exciting enough to have strong enough feelings for a romantic relationship. When you are interested in dating a guy, he should be the only one you want to be with. I think you may be confusing a strong friendship with both for romantic feelings.

Go out with both of them. It's not like you're getting married. They'll probably end up being ok with it anyway.

If you can manage it, stay friends until you know what you want to do. Dating either one of them will spoil the friendship. Boyfriends come and go best friends are rare.

Do these guys know they both asked you out? did they do it on purpose to see what you would do? If so I would stay friends with both of them. Go on a date with each of them as friends first. If they both know they each asked you out then be upfront and tell both of them what you are doing. That you like them both and are going to go out with both of them as friends. It may be a guy ego thing between them. But if it just is coincidental that they asked you out there is no reason to tell them anything. Just have a date with each of them and see how it goes.
