Did anyone get to see the Geminid Meteor shower tonight?

It was 28* out, and I had a blanket, hot cider, friends, and we were lying down on our backs for hours watching them fly by. Best night ever. I saw approximately 10-15 within 10 mins. so it was an eventful night.

Yep, Couldn't see it very well from all the city light pollution though. I didn't bring any coats, shoes or even socks when I went out to stare at them with two of my brothers. I was barely cold. v.v They were joking around saying I'm nuts. Which I never denied. :3 It also fascinates me how I didn't get a cold from it.

Did you even get to see one at least? If you don't mind me asking, what city are you from? I was burning up when I first went out, but after sitting on frozen grass fro hours, my a$$ got stiff. I saw a lot, and I'm 45 minutes away from Phila., but I'm in a pretty dim suburb which doesn't make much of a difference, but, you can see much more than when I go to the city to do presentations on the rooftop observatory at the Franklin Institute. Oh, and you're nuts...I had on socks at first, then said WTH am I doing, lol

You can't get a cold if you don't pick up the virus so you're good :)

Haha, I must have a really high tolerance of cold, then. o.o And I live in York, just about an hour and a half away. from Philadelphia, actually. Hope that doesn't get out to a stalker. XD

And yeah, me and my brothers saw about 15-20 in total I think. The rest of the family was busy with something else, sleeping, or just not wanting to see the shower.

I'm in Paoli. I have a huge telescope and I see all kinds of cool stuff all of the time. I can't carry it because it's about my height, and 70 pounds so I have to beg someone to take it out for me. I hope no stalkers get us too, but at least you have brothers. Maybe one day you can come to the Franklin with your brothers to check it out, or to a star party which is better because you can't see anything but buildings in Center City, no lie.

Oh cool, always wanted a telescope. Just wouldn't know where to put it. And all my brothers do at protecting is joke why a person is there. Haha. I think my dad went there with some of my brothers to go watch the Arietids about 10 years ago when I was too young to go with. But they got rained out. That was the only show they were gonna go to as well.

Most of them in our state were rained or clouded out in our state this year. Very disappointing, but we still sit out there as if something extraordinary is gonna happen,...so lame. You should all set up a date to come to The Franklin Institute when we're there to see our shows in the planetarium. It's so awesome. It's like you're in the darkest place on the planet alone and you can see everything. I wanted to get married there, but they want like three arms, and a torso so...haha
