What to get a friend in the military?

A good friend of mine is in the Army. I asked him last night if he was coming home for the holidays and sadly he wont be coming home. I wanted to send him something nice while he is still in North Carolina. Any ideas? So far i only came up with a fleece blanket, hot cocoa, candy canes and a book full of jokes or sumthing, idk, you tell me, and he is a male so i wouldnt know what to get a male since im a female.

My suggestion to you is this :
If he has a DVD player make him a DVD with pictures of his family and friends and add a song you know your guy friend loves to listen too { TRY TO CHOOSE A SONG THAT WILL SOMEWHAT GO WITH THE SLIDESHOW OF PICS }

A job when he gets out. many of our lads are returning w/ COMBAT training on thier resume. Not much call for that out here. Private co's now do most of the job related work.when I was in a mech could get a mech job a radioman a radio job not anymore.
so he'll need school or work.
So sad I talk to our boys @ the dinner. sad sad sad
