Depends on what "for a day" means.

As long as she lets you in by your local curfew, it's legal.

curfew stops at 15 years of age, once im 16 that curfew no longer applies to me

I don't think so.. You're a minor, so we're in child endangerment area..anything could happen to you outside of a safe home.

hahaha, my friend was going to go to school at the same time that affirmative action was on it's peak. He got denied from two universities. He was so upset. He told me, if I wasn't white and born in this country I would get all the oportunities in the world. I told him, that is not true. I was not borned in this country, and I still can't get help from the government because I came here legally. lol

im not whining, i simply wanted to know if it was legal to do so, fyi i am trying to build my resume so i can get a job, but i need to get a food handler's certificate so i feel like i have a better chance of getting a job interview at least

Yes it is legal. Parents cannot legally force a 16-year-old to leave home without having made acceptable living and financial support arrangements for the minor in advance.

She isn't allowed to do that but she might be joking and if she isn't its wrong and you are a minor and you should probably go stay with a friend if that's the case. Then tell your mom its against the law and she need to be aware of it. Why you need to stay at a friends because you could get in trouble for being out past curfew hope i helped!!!!!'

(i just moved to oakville ontario so i dont have any friends i can really stay with)

and this isnt a joke, she previously told me to pay 400$ in rent, but i left because i felt that amount was overdoing it. also she has been treating me very bad lately, about my "attitude" but its really just my personality, im maturing, growing more confidence, im getting more intellegence. and since im a teen ofc i have a tad bit of smart ass in me :P
Report as
Lol well your mom has a SERIOUS problem if she Is really going to leave you out side in the cold all night. Go hop in her car or yours and sleep or go to child services do something just don't stay out in the cold if you do you will get sick with ammonia and that could kill you
Report as
Well i was in my house (against my mom's wishes, but she was at work) she came into my room at 9:00ish and called the cops after i recommended it to her, because i feel she didnt know the laws. but they came over and told me she can kick me out for a day, she can kick me out forever aswell, but if she does it repedidly i can be proactive, and say this is disruptive to my school and my life, and its a harmfull area. then go to a youth shelter and try to gain ontario works

Sorry to all who answer yes, no it is not legal you are still a minor now if you are a bad son she can place you in a home by law until your 18 or she can sign you up in the army ! So think what are you doing twice before you do.
