Why are you asking for your friend? Doesn't she have parents? They should take her to a doctor. It could be anything.

She doesn't want to go to a doctor, she thinks it isn't serious.

Stress can be your problem. It can cause both weight loss and fatigue. When you get stressed,it can affect systems in your body like digestion which will take less time, your cardiac which makes your heart work harder and your nerves which lets you get more hormones from being stressed.

Anemia is the first thing that came to my mind. My Mother suffers from this all she had all of your symptoms before they finally found out via blood testing. Hope you feel better. Also, vitamins would help. A one a day, and after a few week you should feel some results. See a Dr. as soon as you can, and tell him EVERYTHING you are experiencing. It does not take but a day or two to have the results back.

It could be any number of things, so she should see a doctor. One possibility that hasn't been mentioned yet is a thyroid issue. It's a gland on your throat that makes hormones. If it is over or under active it could make you tired and either gain or lose weight for no apparent reason. Thyroid problems seem to have become more common lately, one reason is we have less iodine in our diets.
