How do you overcome being fired from a job?

Report as

Hi kmurphy! As an employer for over 30 years, I'd like to point out that I have NEVER fired an individual (whether I liked them or not) who made it abundantly clear that they were worth considerably more than I was paying them. Do what you do better, faster, and more efficiently than anyone around you and I can PROMISE you continued employment. As you continue in your search for employment, consider how you look "online" to potential employers because I promise you, that's where we'll get to know you. If your profile photo, your friendships, your grammar, or your ability to properly use the english language and punctuation look sloppy, then that will be our impression of you as an individual. I'm sorry if this sounds judgemental, but frankly, that's what we get paid to be. Stand-out in a positive way and good things will follow. Best of luck to you!

How in the world could I get fired for taking a order from a nurse to add chicken noodle soup to a patient's menu and I was suspended the next day after it took place and then fired the next day which they claim I falsified a hospital record. Since when is a food menu a Hospital Record?

Make a new resume and look for a job. Or enroll in college. Or join the military. Hold your head high cause those Americans that made the election turn out the way it did will see that its going to be very hard to get new jobs next year. Good luck to you bud.

Well Im not sure, but it seems like they were looking for any reason even if its stupid to get rid of you. If you have documentation on why you were fired and feel that you have been mistreated, you should take it to a lawyer and see if there is anything that the law can do for you.

I applied for unemployment and I got a letter saying I am eligible. Then my employer appealed it. I am very frustrated now. How can I prove my case?

Go to your employer and ask them for a termination letter stating the reason for it. Then bring that to your Lawyer. If they will not give you one, you need to call your lawyer and discuss steps on how to get it from them.

It simply wasn't meant to be. Move on- there's better opportunities ahead! Don't miss them by obsessing over the past.
