Do you absolutely HAVE to get your wisdom teeth removed?

I have only had one grow in on me so far and it causes a lot of (not all of the time, but once in a blue moon it will really bother me). I am Anti-Dentist, and really dont want to have to get them pulled out because I have anxiety when it comes to the dentist. Do you think its possible for me to go about my day with my one wisdom tooth still growing in or do I have to get it extracted?

I can only tell you my own experience. My teeth grew in at 19 and they never caused me any pain. The dentist said keep them, so you don't have to get them removed. Eventually I had to get two removed because they were hard to clean and became infected. It was scary but fast and didn't hurt at all.

It only gets removed if it grows in wrong. I know many people that never had too, its just rare.

I had that too. Clove is a natural numbing agent. Get some clove powder and put it on your gum. It helps

I am 55 and can tell you to not have them removed until they are painful. If you wait until all four are all the way in having them pulled is a lot better than having them dug out. A lot of DDS will want to get them way to early.

You don't have to. That's been proven but I'm definitly getting mine removed because they hurt my jaw. Apparently I have a small mouth and don't have room for them.
