Well, the shooters are to blame, obviously, but there was more at work there. I believe the boys were bullied. That does not in any way condone what they did, but it leads to some responsibility on the part of parents everywhere. The parents of the shooters could have gotten them professional help to deal with being bullied. And I swear, after that tragedy, I thought for sure that parents would wake up and teach their kids to be more respectful! I'm still shocked at how bullying has exploded in our nation.

Some crazy gunman just opened fired and killed a lot of innocent people and his mom. Kind of like what happened yesterday in Newtown Connecticut. It is awful for people to do that.

I think it's sick what happened but I respect the one that risked there lives for the kids and my heart goes out to everyone that had to go through that.
Also I think the guy had a mental issue and he was a sick man.

Horrible..all of the recent shootings have been in "gun free zones"..so, they are obviously cowards..in a free society there are risks but in my opinion, the rewards out weigh the risks..study the middle east and places like china..those places might help u understand why we cherish freedom..and I believe taking away "gun free zones" will help because then good, law abiding citizens like me will be legally able to protect you from these evil murderers.

It's your kind of delusional sickness that creates these situations. Gun nuts are the enablers here - not the saviors.

I'd blame them first, they were responsible for their actions, even if they were bullied, You don't resolve bully issues that way (needless to say). If they were mentally ill, then it is a different story. I would not say they were both sick though. possibly one was, the leader of the team perhaps, but was the other? Perhaps being bullied was the catalyst that set it off, then that is a factor, a component of the tragedy and should be addressed as such.

The lack of care given to mental health. Both rage tragedies, aurora and Newtown, were committed by young men who suffered from mental illness and there was no intervention. Until there is a better care system for people with mental disorders we will continue to have these incidents. This is not a gun issue. This is not a God issue. These are mental disorders improperly treated.
