Who thought up of Santa

I just want to know who made up of Santa because I think it's like weird how he is wearing those clothes and eats cookies.

Which one? Every country has a different Santa/St Nick/Spirit of Christmas/Father Christmas. There was a real St Nicholas back in the 1500's in Europe somwhere. There was also a real Saint (Santa) Claus at some point somewhere in Europe. Many different cultural Christmas traditions have been combined to became the Christmas symbols we know today- incuding Santa. The fat jolly Santa we know here in the US and Canada was created by the Coca Cola Bottling Company in the 1950's to sell Coca Cola. It became a popular image. Before that Santa was skinnier and more like the European Father Christmas's.
Scandenavian countries like Sweden, Norway and finland dont have a santa tradition. Their traditions are either gnomes called 'tomte' or elfs called 'Nisse'. Iscland, on tbe otherhand, has 13 different Santas.

Santa was real but died along time ago, his spirit lives on though all over the world... He was called saint Nicolas

You are so lucky i was doing a report on this, Santa came from Saint Nicholas, who is the person in which Santa Claus is based, but the red suit and cookie eating came later. If you google it and do some research, which I know this is easier you'll find out.

idk but some people say he died years ago but i don't belive that he is just a myth but no one know who thiught him up

Well there was a guy named Saint Nick and he went around spreading joy and presents and everything and I'm guessing 1 day some1 just made up the name Santa clause......I think that's how Santa clause happened. And I also think its weird how he goes around eating milk and cookies. The cloths are just bs. Well anyways I hate the fact that Santa clause is fat, he's a bad example to kids 2, he should be skinny.

I think santa is just a figure that could of existed before, but who is santa! Our parents are ! wasn't it them who got us presents ! Its a tradition, and i gotta admit, that comment on coca cola was funny :) wow
