Hmmm. Your immune system has been taking a beating and your lousy diet and lack of sleep are the usual triggers for colds and 'flu. If you have a local Homeopath it is time to get some advice. If you had had taken Aconite 30C a week ago at first signs of the cold, you would be free of symptoms by now. As it is, you are into a well-developed dose of the Lurgi and will probably have to ride the attack out for a week or so. Gelsemium 30C, AGE 30 or 1M is helpful at this time of year and doses of Ivy Leaf extract will break up the phlegm (snot) to ease your misery. Keep warm. REST - don't be tempted to 'soldier on.' Your body needs time to repair itself. And stay away from dairy products (yes: that includes ice cream!) Keep those remedies the Homeopath gives you amd use them at first signs of a similar occurrence. I haven't had the cold or 'flu this century, so I can thoroughly recommend the approach I have outlined....
Go to the doctor or minor emergency clinic NOW. That's the only thing you can do that definitely might shorten the length of your illness. And it couldn't hurt. Otherwise the other people have given good advice.
Get an onion. Cut off both ends. Set it in a jar or bowl next to your bed and it will absorb the bacteria and you will get better fast! Also rub Vicks on your feet and put on socks when you sleep . Sounds weird but it's supposed to work.
