Why does a breast cancer patient have chemo before double mastectomy?

chemo 6 months

Report as

The reason is because chemotherapy tries to treat the condition with one or more cytotoxic antineoplastic drugs while double mastectomy gets rid of the breasts during the surgery. to help destroy the cancer would be my guess. just bc it is in the breast does not mean it wont show up somewhere else
