Is masturbation wrong?

well, my dad is a pastor. we have talked about stuff kind of like that, but he has never been a definite no or yes if it's wrong. I don't want to ask him. when we have talked in the past, sometimes he would say some things aren't wrong which surprised me. so I'm not sure if he would think masturbation is good or not. m mom has tried to talk to me, ( maybe possibly about masturbation) but I've always been like "I know I know," I've heard both that masturbation is right, and I've heard it's wrong. on one side, masturbation is a normal way to explore your body, but on another, it's wrong because its sexual impurities/lust. can someone give me a straight yes or no and why?

I was raised Catholic and we were taught it was sinful because your sexual organs are only for reproduction.. I personally disagree with it. I think that people should know their own bodies. Ultimately there is no straight yes or no answer because the feelings people have about it are usually based on their own religion and upbringing and as we all know those things can be wildly different.
