The good book. I'm pretty sure someone didn't just randomly come up with a code of conduct . . But everyone has their own opinion though.

The bible. I realize it's an answer that is controversial, especially on here. But think about it. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (Slander) It's a moral standard. And a pretty good one. No one likes being lied to, or about. People are horrified by what happened on Friday...and we should be. That falls under, "thou shall not kill". And I don't know anyone who likes being stolen from. It's sad and scary that so many people said that society sets the moral standard. Shootings, mass murder, is becoming a regular thing in America. If society is setting the standard, it is VERY low, and will only get lower.
