well, to be evil, is to be insane, as the natural mental/spiritual state is good, and the opposite is evil, so if you are evil, then you have a skewed perception, meaning you have a skewed mental state, making you insane.
no such things as good or evil, your story book terms for how people are the way they are, is very infantile, maybe the person is in fact insane or has a chemical imbalance that makes them go into a school and murder children, my advice for the shooter whom died, better luck next time, and as for the media blaming video games again. HA! blame something on someone you clearly don't understand.
The media doesn't care what they say. They'll say ANYTHING just to get people to watch their channel. They don't care about facts, or the truth, or ethics, or honesty... The ONLY thing they care about is RATINGS. Period.
To calm the public. "Only REALLY scary crazy people kill!! Don't be afraid of one another! Your neighbour isn't a murderer! You're safe!" Now if that's a good thing or a bad thing: I don't know. People shouldn't be afraid to leave their house... But people should also know that the world isn't safe. It's a large responsibility the media tries to take. It's our responsibility to judge what's right/wrong and safe/dangerous and how to handle ourselves. Sometimes the media tries to do that for us.
Many dismiss untreated, undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed mental illness as "evil". There are evil people in the world but there are a lot more who are just in such pain and confusion they hurt or kill themselves or others. I don't pretend to have a one size fits all solution. I just don't believe this has one cause or solution.
The media makes news, they don't report news. They are biased toward a utopia like world that is pure fantasy. The word Evil does not exist in the news. It is Evil. There is Good also. Where were the atheists and the humanist in the aftermath? They have nothing to offer. There were good people including Priest's, Rabbi's and Pastors there quickly.
The Media likes to control the population, as much as I respect some of the media men and women out there I think we'd be better off without them. Over 75% of the US population just nod and say yes to whatever the media says, without forming there own opinion. So the media forms an "opinion" based on that stations political belief, conservative stations do it too, as much as I hate it.
