Why is 1/0= infinity?
anything divided by zero is infinity, why?
It is undefined, not infinity... Think about it this way. If you are dividing 1 pie between 0 people, you aren't dividing the pie at all.
It's not infinity, it's undefined.
Because 0 goes into anything infinitely. It's like asking how much nothing would fit in a swimming pool. An infinite amount, since nothing doesn't exist and therefore takes up no space
Because you divide one which can also be multiplied by anything by nothing and it can be anything in terms of numbers because anything wins out but if you flip the expression around,0/1 is zero, it makes some sense.
