Dating advice, please.

I haven't been in the dating scene for ssshhh (4 1/2 years). Are guys still paying for the dates? I would totally pay for the date but I don't want to insult the person. How long should you date someone before becoming boyfriend and girlfriend? I know these questions are opinion based but if the vast majority have the same opinion then great.
And if you'd like to add anything please do.

Whoever asks for the date pays, whatever their gender. I don't think making it official should depend on a timeline, in my opinion.

If a man asks, the man pays. If a female asks, Dutch at best. Agree on the timeline.

nice guys are, some not so much. if you go out pay for your share unless he says "I got it bro" then you reply "Cool story bro"

A couple months seems reasonable. especially since it'll fly by. Thanks. Oh and I've read your profile. the belly button piercing is so not painful, I had mine done. but it came out and healed so I'm going to have it done again.

Splitting the cost of a dinner or movie is not a bad thing. And think about just going out and having a good time instead of trying to make it into a "relationship". There's nothing wrong with having a "friend" that's a boy as opposed to a "boyfriend". If something more develops, well good for both of you. If it doesn't, you both still had some fun, got a night out of the house and had a few laughs. Not at all bad.

Well guys should pay for dates. I do and girls are very appreciative. None have ever gotten offended over it. As far as asking someone to be in a relationship with you, I would wait until you've at least been on a few dates and then kinda bring it up and mention it to see what she thinks about it.

Well, why do you think guys should always pay? that makes me uncomfortable but some guys are offended, their pride is anyway if the female pays, why is that?

I'm not sure. I guess it makes us feel like we can't take care of the girl if she pays. We like to provide.

Yes men still pay for dates. and theres nothing wrong with a woman paying sometimes as well. We can go on and on about men just do what makes you happy.take some time to really get to know him before you call him your boyfriend. remember relationships work with two people and not just one. Be smart and cautious you'll be fine

Enjoy "playing the field" since you've been out of circulation for awhile. Don't get quickly & deeply attached to the first dingbat to come along. Good luck!!

Pay for the dates! Sure it's old-fashioned, but it impresses women. For more great dating advice and funny stories, read Confessions of a Middle-Aged Babe Magnet by Chad Stone.
