It is okay to use food stamps if you truly need them for a specific period of time. But there are people who lie and obtain them with false information and people who make a life long practice out of collecting and that isn't fair. Everyone has to learn to budget their money and control the size of their family if the money isn't there. It is not right to make fun of people on any public assistance and it is also not right to abuse the system.
Because they are using other people's money to buy food while driving a nice car, wearing Nike shoes, designer hand bags and 5 kids in tow. They should maybe wait to have kids until they have a job to support them. Some think they are entitled to government money without realizing they robbed your neighbor to pay for those food stamps. Everybody could use a helping hand now and then. Most on welfare have been getting it through the generations of their families. That's where the problem really lies. When do people become responsible for their own life's? Welfare has become a first choice for many when it should be the very last choice after you have exhausted all other avenues of self support. Now days our govt actually advertises for people to get food stamps. (For votes). I am offended that they can take my money at the end of a gun in my face to fund their political careers. Term limits on all politicians would help stop this abuse. All types of welfare should be temporary. And yes that includes corporate and helping other nations. I am not the governments ATM machine. If you want to help people, do it, but don't force others to do your giving for you.
