wikipedia is a site that in my personal opinion isnt very accurate. whoever works wikipedia chooses random things to lock but some things people can edit at random. i remember typing up batman for wikipedia and this is exactly what it said "DUNUNUNUNUNUNUNUDUNUNUNUNUNUNUNUNUN BAAAAATTTTMMMMAAAAANNNNN!!!!"
Yes, because of these two factors: 1. Wikipedia is a popular website, and it's EDITABLE 2. Humans aren't always truthful. Some people in the world mislead and lie, and considering there are trolls on the internet, I'm pretty sure there's an article right now that's being edited with false info.
Wikipedia doesn't tell lies. What Wikipedia does is, it combines several articles on a subject, that is available around the web from official news sites, and presents under one roof, free from advts etc thus saving us from crawling through hundreds of pages to get all that information. If you feel something in wikipedia is wrong, it means the source site has wrong data. The reference site is listed below every wikipedia article.
