Why when asking.a questions in Ask.com some people respond ...just Google it?

Honestly if I didn't want people's opinions then I would Google it. So what would be the proper way telling these people we don't want to Google it we want it in Ask.com?

I would guess that sometimes the answerer is suggesting the person do their own homework. What bugs me is when they say, "I don't know". Why bother?

Personally I feel those answers are off topic, you are right, if people wanted to look it up they would.

I think even me as an answerer, I am not omnipotent and we don't also have a lot of time at times so I on behalf of the answerers apologize for our attitudes and maybe having beaten down by life.

Google doesn't have all the answers lol. Trust me, I've tried looking up a lot of different topics and found nothing useful. Now the human mind is deep and people are way more complex then google. I prefer sifting through peoples thoughts and responses then googles!

I add links to sites with my answers very often to provide more info or support accurate info if someone wants to verify my answers. I don't think I every told anybody to "Google It". What would be the point of Ask?

Using google or ask is actually quite a skill.
Apart from not using words that have multiple meanings (like RELATION)
you have to sift the sites
and then sift out the biased sites.

The material found has to at the right level
and not contain too much information.

On the other hand, people who are masters of their topics
have experienced where students find confusion
and can unravel the topic at that point more concisely.

The online material has to teach the whole topic
the hard part has to be extracted by speed reading
or a word search,
hard to know right search words too

Ask is a great use of technology advances..
