Sure. I went back to school at 40 and there were several other 40+ folks in my class. I'd recommend two things -- pursuing something that is in a growing field and something that you enjoy. Hopefully, you have an interest in a career that fits both things.
There are so many people who are going back to class at 45 or even older. On the whole, it might be worth it, but it would be best if you went back to do something that is useful in a growing field, technology-wise. Our fortunes are different, so don't give up on finding a job.
People aren't hiring me either.....unemployment has ran out.....not sure what's gonna happen......I'll probably just have to go get arrested and go to jail.....school sounds good in theory, but HOW?? No license.....New York State is a vengeful and unforgiving state, STAT AWAY!!!
I'm 45 & in grad school. But this has been a dream of mine for 25 years. If you have no interest in school, maybe you could just take a course or two... update your qualifications. You're not doing anything else anyway. Good luck to you!
I think college is definitely an option. If you decide on going back to college I recommend starting at a junior college depending on the classes you need. It is considerably cheaper. If you are looking for a quicker option I believe it only takes 6 weeks to get a commercial truck driving license if you think that might interest you.
