I always drink orange juice and eat a banana. It works every time. Stay hydrated with Gatorade or an equivalent ELECTROLYTE drink and lots of pure water. I also like to keep mozzarella string cheese sticks handy in the fridge for a quick & easy grab n go PROTEIN snack. Hard boiled eggs are good to have on hand as well.
Energy Drinks suck. Believe it or not, mix a jello packet with water and then drink it before it sets. It will probably make you crash later but it works. This will taste nasty, but V8 (original with the veggies) will give you energy without making you crash.
