it isnt something youre addicted to medically ..you need to explore with a professional, or a very close understanding friend/relative..WHY you feel the need to do this. Self harm is usually an expression of inner self loathing, guilt, or an inability to control something that has or is making you feel bad, or wrong. You need to explore all the things that make you feel bad enough to cut, and what those things are, can they be changed, stopped, or perhaps..understood better, and put to rest, bottom line you undervalue yourself and feel worthless, in this vulnerable state, anyone who rejects you, wounds you more than the average person, You have to take small steps, to do one thing each day that's good, to be proud u made effort, feel good to achieve, and build ur confidence back. only you can give yourself value..not a boyfriend or pals, being popular etc..you must value yourself first. give yourself a chance to show you what you can do, push yourself a little ..to do something u may not have before..be braver, if u like..little steps, and hey..SCREAM OUT LOUD IF IT HELPS RELEASE YOU...I HAVE IT HELPS..:D dont keep it in.
Oh my dear, it us very sad that you are comfortable telling complete strangers about this. I don't know your age or whether you are in school or not. Believe me though, many people would want to be there to help you! You need to trust in someone in your life, whether it's a guardian, brother/sister, uncle/aunt, teacher, counselor. You need to be able to talk in order to work out what's hurting you. Counseling, therapy, rehab, whatever one is decided that will be best for you. This is your first step, now you need to take one more so you can locate the help you need to realize what an amazing human you are! You just need to believe that!
