Having the tops of the ears tapered to a slightly rounded point. Then when healed, having little stars tattooed on the ears to draw attention to them, especially when wearing earrings. Everyone's doing it.

Then you will need distinct points to the top of your ears -- Spock-like.
I think it will really catch on! You first! Any no crying when that nice tattoo man presses your head to the mat. Make sure the ear-cropping is healed up first.
