Oh" yes angels do walk among us.===================The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. As we obey God's commands, it is quite possible that we may encounter His angels, even if we do not realize it. In special circumstances, God allowed His people to see His unseen angels, so God's people would be encouraged and continue in His service (2 Kings 6:16-17). We are encouraged by the knowledge that God's angels are at work. In special circumstances, we might even have one of those rare personal visitations. Greater than that knowledge, however, is the knowledge that Jesus Himself has said, "Surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Jesus, who made the angels and receives their worship, has promised us His own presence in our trials.http://www.gotquestions.org/angels-appear.html

Powers and Privileges. Since God created man “a little lower than angels” (Heb 2:7), it follows that angels have a greater mental capacity than man. They are superhuman in power too. “Bless Jehovah, O you angels of his, mighty in power, carrying out his word.” Angelic knowledge and power were displayed when two angels brought flaming destruction upon Sodom and Gomorrah. A single angel killed 185,000 of the Assyrian army.—Ps 103:20; Ge 19:13, 24; 2Ki 19:35.
Angels too can travel at tremendous speeds, far exceeding the limits of the physical world. Thus when Daniel was praying, God dispatched an angel to answer his prayer; and the angel arrived within moments, even before the prayer was concluded.—Da 9:20-23.

Angelic dwelling place. The spiritual heavens are also the “proper dwelling place” of God’s spirit sons. (Jude 6; Ge 28:12, 13; Mt 18:10; 24:36) The expression “army of the heavens,” often applied to the stellar creation, sometimes describes these angelic sons of God. (1Ki 22:19; compare Ps 103:20, 21; Da 7:10; Lu 2:13; Re 19:14.) So, too, “the heavens” are personified as representing this angelic organization, “the congregation of the holy ones.”—Ps 89:5-7; compare Lu 15:7, 10; Re 12:12.

Just out of couriosity- do you think a person could recognize an angel?
Report as
Well, the Bible describes angels as very powerful spirits. And spirits are invisible. So no, a human could not. (Colossians 1:16)
Report as
But people have seen them in the bible. And If then why not now?

hmmm I'm not sure. Let me do some research and I'll get back to you ASAP!

Ok. I really need to know.

Ok, so when I researched it, I did find some examples of when angels appeared to faithful servants. However, they were always in a way or form. For example, 3 visitors came to Abraham, in human form. They were angels, but Jehovah God allowed them to take on human physical characteristics in order to visually appear to Abraham. (Genesis 19) They first became visible to humans when they were posted in front of the garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:24) So, yes, they were visible to humans at a point in history. However, think about this: Did those back then have the entire word of God, as we do now? No, unfortunately they did not. So in order to have faith, many had to physically SEE something. Therefore, Jehovah God made his angels visible to some of his servants. Today, we do have God's word. So by him speaking to us through his Word, we exercise faith and strength. They are spirits, and we cannot see them. (Psalm 104:4)

It's the same reason we don't see anyone parting seas, or resurrecting the dead today. Since we have the inspired Word of God, unlike first century Christians, we have the accounts of miracles, and the many works that God displayed. Those Christians did not. Therefore, it is not necessary for us to see angels today.

Hope I helped! All answers were found on www.wol.jw.org
