9 month old Siberian Husky has parvo.
My 9 month old Siberian Husky has parvo. I noticed on saturday she was sleeping more then normal and didnt want to leave my side. ( this is out of the norm for her because she's a very energetic dog and loves being outside). Sunday after noon is when the vomiting started and the diarrhea. She didn't want too eat but has continued to drink water. my vets office was closed but I was able to get her in on monday. They tested her for parvo and it came back positive. the vet said it was a small trace of parvo. What exactly does that mean? I was sent home with meds after she was given fluids. She has taken all the meds as directedand has still continued to drink water. Monday night around 11pm is the last time she vomited. Still has diarrhea but it's not in such large amounts, and less often. tuesday she started moving around more but still not wanting to eat. Not boiled chicken, rice, anything. Today she smelled the bowl with the food a few times but still not touching it. When should she start eating again. her energy was up much more today (wednesday) and even spent more time up and out of the kennel (her open den) then she has since this started.should I try different food? Is it too soon? When should I worry and take her back to the vet. she seems to be feeling better all but the not eating.
