I don't like receiving gifts. I don't know why...I don't dread it, but I'd rather give the gifts.

Absolutely! I agree with ImhoteplAm. Just think about how much you enjoy giving and realize that the person giving to you will receive a lot of joy when you open your gifts. It's like your giving them a gift of joy by enjoying the gift they gave you! Merry Christmas jj21_sparklez

Ik it hailed where i live
like we can get a tornado and it doesn't even hit my school

Snow days are cool - but not in December!! Are you kidding me? It's almost break and I don't want to lose a day now. Give me all the snow days you can in January and February...but don't mess with December! The days we have left are just goof off days and I would hate to have to make them up!!

We go half a day tomorrow and then we're out until Jan. 2nd. We don't get as long of a break as some, but we get out earlier for summer break.

I live in stl too, Ive been here for 5 years and I think it like really snowed maybe twice since ive been here, im from the south so this cold weather is just ugh terrible.

Hey Pokefan33 It's time to share a little secret with you. Spend a few bucks on yourself and pick out some stuff that you want. It doesn't need to be expensive, just fun. Say you like beef jerky, buy it, wrap it, and wait for Christmas to open it! You know you'll like it when you open it and the waiting helps to build the excitement. You don't have to open them in front of others either. Don't depend on others to make you happy. Merry Christmas!

Over-look the family drama and be thankful u have some family to be with. U can set an example and show them HOW to love. They may not know how. Anything is better than being along. Thankful I have my computer.

I guess the main thing is that I won't be able to see everyone I love on Christmas. Christmas is about being with the ones you love and that won't happen this year.

I am in a similar situation. I have family but someone insists they go to their parents EVERY Christmas (and Tksgiving). The inlaws claim to be "Christians" but they don't want an outsider (me) to mess up their festivities.

Choice of gifts to buy or give because people are becoming more and more picky and may not appreciate. Sad to say but many individuals mis-take the purpose and intent of gifts.

Amen..!! The real problem of.."Gifts"..is children & adults..HAVE..to-ooo much these days..!! Lord, we were thrilled to wake up & find..one..Santa Gift & a sock filled with an assortment of Nuts & Fruits.!! Like "Momma" always said..( IF..we didn't like what was for supper ).."Then you're "eating" to-ooo well." (Lol..!!) May be funny, but true enough.! So, IF you don't..Like..nor..Appreciate..a gift, that someone's "Hard Earned" monies & "Thoughtfulness" purchased for YOU..then go to the big-book, the..Bible..and read about Giving & Receiving.!! Those who love & care about "You",will certainly be glad YOU d-i-d..!!
