read the math equations and say it out loud (not to loud) does the answer make sense.
Example: Answer .3333
Does that question make sense?Sure you can solve that paticular answer but without a question no answer.
Its kinda confusing but it will work

Don't over think it. Most people make math much more complicated than it really is.

Do your work diligently everyday.
You can do anything to an equation as long as you do it to both sides equally.
Kind of hard to say without a specific problem in mind...

Once you learn the "language" or terms used, algebra becomes easy. You might visit the pre-algebra page at math.com and start right in: http://www.math.com/homeworkhelp/PreAlgebra.html

Be diligent in your studies. Once you get the hang of algebra, it becomes second nature. Just remember when balancing equations, you use the opposite operations. Like if you have 4x=16, your goal is to isolate x. You would divide EVERYTHING by 4. Your answer is 16/4, or 4. If you ever need help, feel free to email me. :)
