No.It is people burying their heads in the sand about having a family member that has mental illness and not getting them the help they need. Or the hoops that those who do try have to jump thru to get it. I was reading a blog from a women who has preteen son who is mentally disturbed and they only way to get him help was for him to hurt someone. She had to wait for him to actually assault her and have the police take him away to get help. WTH? Too often the first strike is all it takes for someone to die.
I'm more inclined to blame media attention that these killers receive, which is instant notoriety. I think that's what they seek when they decide to murder others in their suicide plots.. Just my two cents..
Yes, of course, before the invention of the video game there were no crazy people or violent people in the world. It was the late 70's. the world was at peace the there was Space Invaders, next thing you know, school shootings. Definitely video games.

I don't think video games are to blame for what happened, I think some people are just so filled with hate that they turn it onto other people and are just sick in the head... Seriously, who could hurt a defenseless, innocent child?? I do however, think shooting games are terribly desensitizing and graphic. (Some even go as far as dragging the body-not kidding-my mom made my brother send it back). There is a scriptural text somewhere that says not to delight in the shedding of blood, and I personally think that should be applied to video games. It just isn't a game. (but again, don't think video games have to do at all with shooting crimes, at least in a general sense. still not good though.)
No, you would have to have some sort of violence in real life for it to affect you, i've been playing shooter and fighter games for as long as I can remember, but I hate violence in real life, and I don't have violent people around me and even if i did i'm sane enough to rise above it,
Video games have ruined my life as well.....I can't stop going around and jumping on turtles backs and then picking them up and throwing them at brick walls.....Society itself is desensitizing, growing further numb in every generation.....it all depends on how easily influenced the feeble minds are....no one thing is to blame.....
I don't think the video games, the media or the guns are to blame. The individuals who commit these despicable acts are to blame. People who are inclined to do these things may also be drawn to the violent games and have a sick desire for attention that is fed by the media. The media is wrong to exploit these events and glorify the perpetrators for ratings. The perpetrators are the perpetrators, they are not induced by the video games, the media or the guns. It's also wrong for politicians and others to exploit these crimes as a way to push their agendas.
The way I see it 20 years ago there where no fighting games like COD or black ops exc. but people still did shootings... they didn't do it as often as they do now but I believe its becouse 1. They have taken almost everything that has to do with Jesus or God or the tn commandments out of almost everything (but I think if nothing else they should leave the the commandments becouse even if you don't believe in God they are some good rules to live by), they have alredy taken God out of most schools and they are taking Him out of the courts and almost everything else... 2. Guns are much easier to get now then they where back then, wouldn't be hard for someone to get a gun legally or not... 3. Drugs and alcohol. Some people think they need it but when they are using it they don't have much control over what they do or say and they think they can get away with dumb stuff... 4. If you still want to blame video games after my first three reasons then you need to blame Tv and the Internet just as much if not more becouse there are way too many movies and Tv shows that are nothing but violets and if you can watches it on tv then it will be somewhere on the internet..... just my opinion
They play a part. It's the whole lack of respect for human life that we see in many forms of entertainment. We've also pushed religion away. there is more mental illness. Many different things at play.
People usually don’t go out hunting with a rifle or handgun with high capacity clips. But people may use them for self defense, if a group or a gang invades their property trying to harm or steal, or when there is a natural disaster and panic with looting and a high capacity clip may be needed in a gun. But people don’t need to walk around with guns if every one follows the law.
No - and why should they be? Every time some lunatic decides to take out innocent victims, people automatically jump on the big "blame game": it's video games - it's lack of gun control - it's the news media - it's the environment - it's upbringing - it's DNA! They tend to blame everything other than the obvious - a mentally warped individual with no conscience - period!
Lots of people who go on killing sprees ar either completely mentally challenged or are just really mad at one group of people (jack the ripper). I'm sure that many kids are effected by video games and I do not approve of them.
