Ignore the trends. Find what looks good on you and what you are comfortable wearing. If you have a great attitude, you could wear a burlap sack, and as long as you smile, everyone will wonder who the gorgeous person is.
It's more how you carry yourself than what you wear. Remember to be dignified; you can have fun, but don't be tacky or cheap looking. If you carry yourself well, and are dignified and fun, you'll be on top of good fashion.

Hi! A person's style is indeed something they mold as they grow themselves. Also, the environment you chose to be in will dictate what is acceptable and what's not. There are a couple of good rules to follow as you develop your own style. 1) Pick clothes that fit. Not too baggy and not too snug. Some of the trends today will tell you differently. Trust me, the opposite sex wants to know you, not your underwear or your shirt too tight. 2) Wear what image you would like to project! Even if you can't afford the Calvin Klein Jeans, you can still dress up Levis (which I think are cooler anyway) and project the upper scale look. and finally, 3) Be sure you and your clothes are clean. You can get away with not ironing, but cleanliness is a must! Good Luck! I've got a good feeling your going to look great! Hold you head high and smile! Have a great day!!
