How long does it take to get over the flu?

I woke up this morning sick and I really need to be better by Sunday will it be gone by then?

Report as

Well it mainly depends if you "take care of it". Like drink lots of fluids and take some vitamins and get lots of rest.

I hope you get better soon.

I'm pretty sure you're gonna get over it by Sunday. Even my sister had it. She got over with it in 2 to 3 days so don't worry about it.

No, you won't be over it by then if it is really the flu. If it is something else, maybe.

Your chances of being well by Sunday are very slim unless you address the 'flu directly and accurately. I would refer you to a local Homeopath for a precise match of remedy for your malaise. Gelsemium and A.G.E. are proving helpful this year. Material doses of Echinacea are another way to push your immune response along at double speed (see Pharmacist or local Herbalist). Using Homeopathy it is not al all unusual to be up and about again in 48 hours, but if you try and "wing it" with Old Wives' Remedies, you may still be full of snot and fever in a month. Get on the phone NOW and hope they are not all booked up this close to Christmas....

I don't think I actually had the flu I had symptoms but I feel much better today thanks for your answer though. :)

I am very pleased to hear that. My recommendation is to keep a few "first-aid" remedies in the house to use whenever minor crises come up like your 'flu. They ALWAYS happen over a weekened when the shops are shut, or the health practitioners are on leave. That's Murphy's Law of Cussedness at work for you!!!! Murphy Rules the planet and is infallible!!! Colds, indigestion, diarrhea, sick headaches, minor infections - there are effective remedies you can keep handy for just this sort of emergency....
