I would say yes.If there are mature and won't be rattled by what they see. When it comes to sexual things I'm not sure if I had kids if I would want them to see it.I'm 16 and not allowed to M rated games because they think it will get in my head or something although I may not understand it.I will respect their decision.
Every kid reacts differently to games and movies. Some kid might be freaked out at a violent game or movie, some other kid might love the action and adventure. Thought the parent will ultimately decide whether their kid can play M+ rated games or R rated movies.
No, in a way there's rating are there for a reason, that's why you have to be 17 to buy m rated games or watch R movies in most theaters. For example, do you want your 12 year old kid playing grand theft auto 4? Chances are the answer is no, knowing the content. Is there a point before my child turns 17 that I would let them play some m games or watch r movies? Yes, games like half life 2 (which has an m rating) really isn't all that bad. So in a way, it ultimately depends. But all in all, they're rated like that for a reason.
No. Young people are exposed to way to much violence sex and depravity. Well society in general is. The total lack of respect for human life is running rampant. The violence we are exposed to in entertainment is comming out as reality in the streets
When I was 6 I got the first halo and I'm just as violent as any kid if I have anger I take it out in football if I want to shoot something I go to an airsoft fight also the rating system is jacked up a rated M game is equivalent to a rated pg 13 movie so I would be fine with kids playing rated M games except GTA
No... I'm all about preserving the innocence of children as long as possible. You only get to be a kid for MAYBE 12 -15 years if you're lucky, then for the whole rest of your life you have to deal with all the pain and responsibility of adulthood. Ask any grown-up if they'd go back to their childhood for a week, I guarantee they'd be running around outside playing with their friends. Those are the endearing memories that you should be creating.
