How to reset an iPod touch, 4th generation?

Something went wrong, it glitched or something, and now I'm locked out for about 200,000,000 minutes. (About 43 years). I tried powering it off and back on, but I'm still locked out. Please help! (I've also rebooted it -held down on the power button and home button and that- but it still didn't work). Please help!

Same thing happen to my friend, her other friend played a prank on her and kept guessing the password. Go to an itunes store and they can fix it for you right away. Sorry about what happened!
