Given all the responses about house fires ... I have a question .. because I've often wondered about the repercussions of using an oven .. Do you know if there is a limit to how many hours you could use an oven in a day?
I'm just thinking a turkey can take up to 4-6 hrs to cook (depending on it's size, of course) .. then pies, buns, and hordeurves .. another few hours .. Would that cause a house fire?
Would the oven remember that it was used for that many hours in one day, if you used it for same length of time the following day?
If you are using an electric oven, there is really nothing to limit use as a heat source. The element will have a definitely shortened lifespan, though. If you are using a gas stove, air recirculation and proper ventilation would be extremely important factors! CO and CO2 will be present. I wouldn't recommend doing such for any extended amount of time. Be VERY vigilant no matter what, though!
