No, it just matters that you get an education to succeed in life and modern-day society. Don't worry about it.
I think it's kind of messed up everyone is saying no, but if you were to ask "How do I be popular in school" (or something along those lines) everyone will lay down and tell you how while only a few of us will tell you things like "Just be yourself" or "It doesn't matter".
Only while you're in High School. Many of the people who were the unpopular kids when I went to High School are doing really well now and the ones who were popular aren't. It seems to me that the popular kids were very shallow and had huge egos and thought everyone wanted to be like them. Also many of them had always had pretty easy lives so when they were faced with a challenge, they folded.
It shouldn't matter, but unfortunately it does. Every school is different, but in my school you have the nerds, the jocks, the cool nerds, the stupid kids, the messed up kids, and the "normal" kids. Each one is treated differently.
No in High School you need to worry about your grades and what your going to do in life because high school is the base of your future, who cares about being popular, high school is only four years of your life, adulthood is many many many years of your life with way more expectations and challenges
No, because after school none of that matters and people pretty much judge you on who you are and what you're capable of, (this is where your education comes into play) not what sort of shoes you wear or how many bottles of scotch you can scull before you pass out and almost drown on your own spew.
