How long should i steam lobster for?

It will actually turn bright red in color not dark. It starts out dark before you drop him in the pot. In my opinion steaming is the best way to go.

From what I know you should steam a lobster for fifteen to seventeen minutes. You will know when the lobster is done by the change in color. It will change to a dark red.
