If Muslims and Christians and Jews believe in one god why do they have their properly religious book?

They are three different religions. Although Christianity also uses the Old Testament. Obviously, Jews aren't going to use the New Testament. And Islam was founded by another person, with different beliefs too.

They are different. Muslims believe Jesus was raised to the heavens but Christians say he was crucified by the Jewish(No offense to any Jewish). Christian believe that Jesus was the son of God but muslims don't. Christians also say there are three things that combine to make one God which are The Holy Spirit, Jesus and God himself but muslims believe that there is only one god and there was a prophet after Jesus. (Sorry I only gave facts about two of the three, I don't really know much about Jewish).

Because they are all written by men and are not inspired by a higher power, if there was a book inspired by an all knowing, all powerful, omnipresent being we would know it to our core, everyone, everywhere would follow the same faith because such a being would know how to make its message known without doubt. Since they were written by man, they are also doubted by man.

But it was guided by a higher power. That is why Chistians take up 1/3rd of the world population. Btw don't even try and say people are "oppressed" or "forced" to be christian. It isn't true. If one doesn't believe there is no one stopping them. A religion based out of fear is a doomed one. Do you see any puritans any more? No? Exactly. Men had to be guided to write the bible. There is no way each scripture could support the other and have such great comtinuity if just people wrote it on their own accord. It is impossible.

The many contradictions, and misinterpretations regarding the bible. The fact that the books were assembled into the bible in the 4th century, and that a group of men decided which to include and which to exclude. The recycling of pegan holidays. Etc.etc.etc. Leaving all that aside my statement still stands on its own. The world is divided on religion, even within a religion there are sects of sects. The idea that a higher being would not be able to get its message out to all the world would suggest one of two possibilities. That good and evil, right and wrong, morality and immorality are not good enough tests for its creation but that a jumbled mess off contradictory rules and rituals should be added. Or the more realistic possibility, it doesn't exist or doesn't want its presence known.

Caltex, the Quran ia the True Word of God.

"You (O Muhammad) was not a reader of any Scripture before it, nor did you write (such a Scripture) with your right hand, for then those who follow falsehood might (have a right) to doubt it." Quran 29:48

The Quran was revealed in 23 years, yet there are not any contradictory points in it.

"Will they not then ponder on the Quran? If it had been from other than God they would have found therein much contradiction and incongruity." Quran 4:82

Lol, while Caltex and I see eye to eye on many issues I'm the other cal on Ask ;) @momo. Speaking as an agnostic/atheist If there is a god or higher power which we can't comprehend atm we all know its law. 99.999% of human beings know that it is wrong to kill or steal without cause, eat another human, harm a child, rape, and that love is the greatest gift that we all can share, none of those ( with the possible exception of love) are shared by the animal kingdom. My point was, and is, our man made religions only muddy the issue, divide us and give reason for us to hate and distrust one another, no just and loving god (if it were a sentient being and not a force or power) would want that and certainly would have seen it coming.

Now let's share the holiday spirit together. Happy Holidays and I wish a Happy New Year also. Glad tidings fall upon you!

They worship different gods. You would not call a statue of Pan and one of Apollo the same god so why would you say separate books worship the same god when they produce different and contradicting religions?

Because the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ do not exist in their original forms. The present-day editions are only interpretations by their respective followers of later ages. Thus God's Plan has come to pass which is mentioned in the Bible "I will send them a prophet from their Brethren and I will put my words in his mouth and what ever he speaks he will speak in my name and any one who does not harken to his words which he will speak in my name I WILL REQUIRE IT OF HIM" Deut 18:18.

So the Quran is the final and the complete code of Religion, and is and will be preserved for all time absolutely intact in its original form.

"We have without doubt, sent down the message and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption.)" Quran 15:9
