Can i file for divorce in florida if i was married in new jersey

i've been in florida for over 4 years and separated for over twenty years i want to remarry....need help do i have to go to the state of new jersey or can i file from florida we have no children and no property to divide

No you can divorce anywhere even in another country. I married in the country of Honduras, but we lived in Florida and that is where I filed for a divorce. You don't even hafta know where the other party lives, that can all be worked out You don't need a lawyer, they just get in the way of the process.

You can get a divorce whereever your at. Get a lawyer and he'll know what to do
