Why is my iPod Touch taking a long time to connect to the wifi?

My iPod touch usually connects right to my house wifi as soon as it is near enough to get signal. For the first time ever, I have a full strength in the wifi signal, but my iPod just won't connect. It will act like it is trying to connect, but it's taking forever. I have had my iPod for a year, and it's never done this. I've tried restarting it, forgetting the wifi network and logging back in, syncing my iPod to my laptop, and resetting the network settings. All the other laptops and iPods at my house are working fine on the wifi, except mine. Please help if you can!!

This could be because you have not switched on your Wi-Fi router. You need to make sure that you are in close distance to your Wi-Fi router and confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are linked to power and switched on. Make sure that you have also updated your Wi-Fi router to the most recent firmware.
