What is a good white elephant gift?

It's a family gift exchange, and I only found out last minute. Help please :)

Jackie, if it's a silly gift kinda thing -a toilet brush. If it should be practical, a toilet brush.

I would say go with something generic, like a gift certificate or gift card to someplace most everybody in your family likes to go. either that or a scarf, candle, or just go with a tiny stuffed elephant!! if you have a lot of family members who like music, get an iTunes gift card or something similar.

I would get something that would be the most memorable and becomes the gift that someone gives again and again, year after year.
We had a rock painted like a ladybug, the nickname of great grandma. This way she was with us every Christmas!
