It's human nature to fear what we don't understand. Most people that are homophobic think homosexuality is a choice, which they don't understand so they don't like it. Also a lot of people try to persecute homosexuals because of a book, they blame it on the bible instead of their own hatred. It's disgusting really that so many people get to say how two people should live their lives. If two consenting adults are in love leave them alone, they're doing nothing wrong.
It deals allot with culture but with time culture changes. Gay rights in my opinion can be compared to slavery and woman's rights. Meaning at the time theses things were completely normal but with time came change. And in my opinion those were great shifts in american culture. (Abolishment of slavery and women having equal rights.) Its human nature to not like change and some can handle change better than others. Its unfortunate but Gay's just have to keep pushing for their rights. The only time I have a problem with someone who is gay is if they assault or hurrass me but that's with everyone!
Hey as an LGBT member I don't get it either. It stings and hurts like hell and if anyone actually could know how much it hurts then I swear they would stop. Unfortunately, the people that insult the way we are, something we cannot change, haven't realised the beauty of love. I hope that they find love, for their sake.
