I'm assuming that they think their parents are strict/mean on them.I know that sometimes..parents will never see your point of view of understanding and I hate that.My parents can get all b----- sometimes and I still love them from the bottom of my heart of how they took care of me as a child up until now. :)
When u get to a certain age, u think u don't really need ur parents. But ur parents want to make sure ur prepared for that icy cold world. And teens just don't understand how important it is, and they have fits because their parents are telling them the truth, which most don't want to hear
Because for the first 5-8 years of their life they are only exposed to family and as they grow to teens and even into adulthood they get exposed to more and more people so they find people that are simlilar to them (i.e friends). They dont get to choose their parents but they can choose their friends. Not sayin im agreeing with it but it is true
I have no idea. I love my parents. I'm sure when they say that they obviously don't mean it. There are those rare cases where a child is abused, and in that case I would hate them, but otherwise, I think that you should respect your parents.

Teens want more freedom, but are not always mature enough to know what is best. They think only about what they want to do and not of the consequences. When the parent tells the teen they can't do something, even though it is to keep the teen safe, the teen often becomes angry.
