What do you think happened to her?

I have had my cat for well over 10 years :') Anyway, about a year and a half ago, my mother and father told me that because she had fleas ALL of the time and we couldn't get rid of them, we would have to keep her outside. I hated the idea of her being all alone :( I fed her every day, gave her water, and pet her....one day about a month or two ago, she didn't come for breakfast. I was really worried, and she hasn't come back :( I love her with all my heart, and my mom acts like it isn't even worth our time. I don't want to believe it, but I think someone took her into their house :( I can't help but blame my mom....it is her fault that she left because she put her outside and never let her in. I really miss her. Any suggestions to what I should do? What happened? Thank you!

I used to feed outside cats all the time where I used to live, they sometimes want to come in the house and visit, but then they went back outside. If you have pictures of her, print some up and post them around your area. You should probably also check with the local shelter or pound. Don't be angry with your mom, there aren't many people who understand why we care so much about our cats. If your cat is okay, she'll come back home. Check with your vet, there are many new ways to control fleas on cats now. I know that they have flea shots for dogs now. My big dog is very sensitive to fleas and we have to give her a shot monthly, but it works. If it has been a year and a half, you cat knows her way around and will return to you if she is able.

This kind of flippant answer to someone who is worried and sad about her cat is uncalled for.

There are 2 answers. 1) She is being taken care of by a family in their house. 2) There is another answer and you know what it is........ I really hope it is not this one : (

I have a theory on what happened to your cat she could have been attacked/aten by coyoyes or ran away. Tears will help you to move on everyone cries now and then. Also you can smile with your soul, mind, and lips to make you feel better cause you may recieve a visit from her spirit some time soon. I hope this helps you! =)

Put an ad in the paper, on Craigslist or both with a picture of her. If you offer a reward people are more likely to be on the lookout or to give her up if somebody does have her. Also if you do get her back (and I'll pray that you do) you should get her microchipped so that if she gets lost again they can locate you if someone finds her. One more thing, so far as the fleas are concerned there are inventions out there that can completely eliminate the fleas (google your choices) then that way she can be exclusive to being an indoor cat. May God be with in your quest to find her.

The neighbors next door to me had the same issue, it turns out the cat got hit by car. I hope this didn't happen to yours, she probably just got lost.

I depends on where you live. Most likely she was taken in by a family that wanted to take care of her, and possibly give her more love than you can. Unless you have coyotes, or incautious drivers, it's in likely your cat is dead. If she doesn't come back soon, you might want to get a new cat. It always helps. also don't give up. my cat was lost, living out and around my house for a full 6 months. finally we were able to catch her, and now she live inside with us.
