Cj is most likely right. If the air is dry in your house then it can lead to scratching and itching. You can put on lotion but try putting a pot of water on the stove and letting it boil for a bit to add steam in to the air. It gives you a little humidity. Just don't leave it unattended. You can also run the shower on just hot water for a little while and let the steam carry around. You can also try running a humidifier to see if that helps. Don't rule out skin itching from new soap, laundry detergent, or even a new perfume.
