If the sun is made of fire how does it not go out? Cause space has no air. And fire is supposed to have oxygen to stay going.

Herbsmith has it fairly tight. The Sun is not a fire - it is a giant Hydrogen Bomb that is fusing Hydrogen into Helium every second of every day - pouring out unimaginable amounts of heat, light and radiation. It has taken six MILLION years to get to this stage and we expect it to last another six million years before the Hydrogen runs out. Book your seats now for the extravaganza that will be the ACTUAL end of the world - when the Sun swells up in size and swallows Venus and scorches the Earth to a crisp. It should be a good show - bring marshmallows to toast....

The Sun is a gigantic thermonuclear explosion. A single ray of sunlight that forms in the center of the Sun takes thousands of years to make it to the surface of the sun and get blasted to Earth to possibly land on a blade of grass and make it grow.

The sun WILL burn out in millions of years when it runs out of hydrogen gas.
